I’ve been waiting for this track a long time but if am being 110% honest i thing this track would have been one of Lowkey’s best if and it’s a big IF he used a new beat because he has already produced this track by himself which I really loved, but to do it again on the same beat just takes something away from the track. Never the less as always this is an awesome track with very meaningful words and a BIG collab! So enjoy the song!

Lowkey Artist Review

Lowkey is a name you don’t hear on Radio 1 nor do you watch him on MTV. But he has spread his name on the underground scene like fire. With three mixtapes to his name at just the age of 18, he has gone on to record two more successful albums without any major label support. He is not just a rapper, lyricist, a poet but also a man on a mission to open the public’s eyes from the bias mainstream media! His message is clear and simple: free the people of Palestine.

His political view scares people because he is truly gifted not only lyrically but also with abundance of knowledge. His latest hit single “Obama Nation” has clocked up more than 100,000 views on YouTube within only four weeks of being released.  This song has managed to win over many hearts around the world but at the same time it has raised many valuable questions about the USA and their foreign policy.

Most of Lowkey’s publicity came through a single called “Alphabet Assassin” which featured on his second album Dear Listener in 2008. He showed his raw lyrical ability to rhyme every single letter of the alphabet flawlessly with energy that is hard to match.

His eagerly anticipated album which is set be released on September this year is titled “Soundtrack to the struggle”, it will feature his smash hit single “Voice of the voiceless” which was collaborated with Immortal Technique, considered by many as one of the realest rappers in America.

Although even today Lowkey still remains an underground artist he has the determination to touch peoples hearts with his music, which many artists in the mainstream lack.

Radio stations have stopped playing his music because it’s considered to be too political while they play tracks after tracks promoting violence and how to end someone’s life, on the other hand Lowkey is doing something positive yet they deny him the chance of spreading his music to more people nationwide.

Another track by Lowkey that deserved far more publicity then it got is “Don’t hide it”. The track featured another talented underground rapper, Logic. It was about young kids who were being bullied and abused even by their own family and how they can get help. It was supporting NSPCC’s ‘Dont Hide It’ Campaign.

Both rappers decided to write lyrics on someone else’s perspective and what they have gone through and telling their story from their point of view. The lyrics were heart touching and emotional while the official video contained clips of children trying to deal with the problems they have while most people around them don’t know anything about it.

While many general hip-hop lovers compare him to one of the greatest rapper the world has ever seen in 2Pac, the media is still against the rapper because Lowkey is not afraid to write lyrics straight from his heart. When a rapper speaks out against such issues as child abuse and war surely he is the on that deserves praise and publicity more than those who promote drugs and violence?
